How do I fix the volume on my laptop?

The sound on my computer just suddenly stopped. How do I fix this?

You can try to reinstall it, click start, right click my computer, hardware tab, device manager, right right on the sound device, restart computer, it should reinstall the sound on it's own.

Make sure all your volume controls are where they should be. If that doesn't work try reinstalling your audio driver.

could it by muted? check the volume and see if you could have muted it!
