Does a mothers ring have just the childrens birthstones or does it include the mothers birthstone as well???

There is no one rule for mother's rings. Some are designed with a larger stone (mom's) surrounded by smaller stones (kids). We sell them both ways. Basically you can put anything in it that YOU want. My moms ring included her, my dad, and all the kids. She has a grandmothers ring that is grandkids only. Honestly its what you choose...no right or wrong. You could include a stone for the family cat if you wanted!!

My daughters gave me a mother's ring for Christmas last year. It was to replace one the kids bought 26 years ago that was stolen. Both had/have five birthstones, one for each child.
I think each person has to decide how the ring should be configured. It's the sentiment that means the most. Keep in mind the size of the ring. We don't want to have to wear a sling to hold our hands up.

No I think just the childrens names and birthstones. Thats how we did my grandmothers.

Ideally only the children's birthstones. I am a mom and I find very ugly those rings. Does your mom likes those rings?

No rule depend on what the person wants. Some rings have included mom and dad. I know some include grandchildren.

just the childrens. if you have step children you can include theirs as well, my mom has one and has mine and my sisters stones in the middle, with my stepsister and stepbrothers stones on the outside.
