i have to change the detail because most of your answers are really stupid, sorry, but they're stupid. think about why animal has different colors, or even has color: for camouflage, reaction to enviroment, and other means of survival. for example: some animals are colorful bacause they're poisonous, the colors show their predator that they are dangerous, implying 'don't try to bite'; some animals want to hide themself by having colors similar with the enviroment they live in, camouflage; as matters, animals composed of chemical, and chemicals react, that shapes the physical feature; other reasons are climate, weather, food,... SO, i knew the basic stuff, you don't have to tell me, i need the exact explanation of why. thank you!

In animals bright coloration is a form of advertisement, associated with gender, social rank, warning of poisons, etc. Many salt water fish in the pet store are coral reef fish, often living in social groups in nature. Color is probably much more a function of their living in these environments, rather than the salt water habitat per se.

The majority of species of plant and animal life has been lost over time. It was more difficult to destroy all the fish on the bottom of the sea. The bright colored fish were easy to find.
Not only for humans but for animals and birds.
The bright colored birds in some areas are gone. They were brought into extinction first. The dull small birds didn't show up so well and for that reason are still here.
They lived long enough to reproduce.

simple salt particles makes flesh fresh it kills bacteria and other micro organism in salty water fishes got stronger scales while they adapt in salty water their colour changes because of the affect of the temperature. the ocean is so big that different species of fish in different places got different colour because of how they react to the temperature. fish reacts on temperature differently according to their size and nerves. some fish are big and more sensitive other are small but more sensitive. When they adapt to their environment like salty water their sensitivity will guild their scales on how much thicker their scales should be this process gives colour to the fish. while in fresh water mostly the temperature is constantly warm because it is near the land (and land is warm) that's why most fresh water fish have mostly the same colour that is kind a like dark. that's all bye bye.... and fish got a lot of protein that will help you get stronger..

The pigment patterns of different fish usually evolve in relation to the surrounding environment. Since having a pigment pattern that provides camoflage in one's surroundings can provide a significant advantage, many
fish develop pigment patterns that blend in well with their surroundings. Since the surroundings found in most ocean environments tend to be more colorful that those found in fresh water, salt water fish tend to form more colorful pigment patterns.

Answer is in your question itself. Since fish get oxygen dissolved in water, through GILLS. After absorbing oxygen, water inhaled is let out through gills. Salts contained in "salt water" gets entry in to the metabolism of fish, hence more shining, colours, compared to fresh water fish.
