You shouldn't be allowed. When I went to work for the church, I had to sign a statment saying I would not only teach withing the Church's guidelines, but also abide by them in my personal life.

It doesn't matter if you are engaged- you ARE NOT married, and have no right to be having sex with anyone, let alone giving scandal to your students by living with a person of the opposite gender you are not married to.

As a mother, I would be outraged if a teacher in my children's Catholic school did as you propose.

Probably. I just wouldn't flaunt the living together situation, you know? Like there would be no need for your fiance to come up to school or the two of you to attend social functions and tell people about your living arrangement. Just keep it private and you're fine.

Be very careful.

Most Catholic school employment contracts have a morals clause where the employee promises to live their life in accordance with Church teaching.

Please take this commitment seriously.

Not only may you be liable for termination but as a Catholic school teacher, you are a living example to your students.

With love in Christ.

I don't see why not, I went to a Catholic School, a rather small one that is, but I don't think they care what the teachers do outside of the school, as long as it isn;t anything illegal I don;t think they care one way or another.
