I have a set of 4 month old twin girls, does anyone out there have twins?, can you give me a brief run-down on how life it like in your house. Has it been a positive experience. Would you do it again?

yes i have 16 kids (twins on the way), 3 sets of already, My 12 year old boys (from my hubby's side, mixed family) Zack and Kyle are blonde headed blue eyed identical twins. but if they are standing right next to each other, you can tell them apart, but when they separated it gets a little harder, but after knowing them awhile, it's not that hard. zack is a little stockier, athletic and loves to play video games. kyle is thin, smart and would rather build a science project than throw around a football. they are different in so many ways it's hard to believe they are related. they dress very differently, but they are alike in the fact that trouble seems to just kind of follow them everywhere they go. they love being twins, have tried to pull the switch a few times but it hasn't worked. arguments do arise sometimes about how kyle accels in school and zack accells in sports, but they are always there for each other no matter what.
the second set are shayne and micah (age 8). they are fraternal twins. brown haired brown eyes. shayne has long straight hair and mike has long curly poofy hair. they look so different on the outside that you wouldn't even guess that they were twins. but on the inside, they couldn't be more alike. both love to skateboard and are doing good in school. they also have a knack to get into trouble everywhere they go. they also love being twins, but absolutley hate being called "the twins".
then the third set of twins are 7 year old identicals Madelyn and Jayden. blonde haire, green eyes. they still love to dress alike only because when they do nobody can tell them apart. they are identical inside and out. they are total tomboys and Maddy won't put on a dress or skirt if you paid her, jayde would do it for $20. they like being calles "the twins" and enjoy every minute of it. they love to switch places and being so identical get away with it sometimes. i usually can tell them apart by their scratches and bruises (from climbing trees and soccer).
overall it's fun with twins, i love every second of it, and i can't wait till these two are born. good luck to you and your family, god bless!!!!!

I am right there with you....I have 4 1/2 month old twin girls (fraternal). So far our experience has been pretty good. Everyone was healthy at birth weighing in at over 6lbs! Of course it is pretty hectic with the feedings and diapers and baths...etc. But I wouldn't change it for the world. It sure is expensive with all the formula and diapers but my in-laws babysit them 4 days a week and they help out alot with the things they need. I hope your experience is going just as well!

I have twin boys who are 5. I love having twins. They are never bored and I am able to get so much work done when I need to. I just had a little girl and I kinda wish she to had been a twin. Just relax, you will do fine. It gets easier as they grow, I promise!

i have twin 3 year olds.it was very hectic, always one is hungry and one isnt, one is sleeping and the other is awake and so it goes on from there.and most of the time when they get old enough to watch tv they will not agree on something to watch, thats the only thing about having more than one child the same age,and whatever you do,please do not dress them alike. its been very good ,and yes we would do it again i we had to.
