Absolutely not. The reason why is because as your baby grows it will start to separate your abdomen muscles down the center of your stomach. If you are putting too much strain on these ab muscles while they are stretched and separated you could permanently damage them to the point where they won't completely close back up after the baby is born. It can take up to several months after the delivery for the ab muscles to completely close up. You should also continue to avoid ab exercises during the post-partum period for the same reason. yes, as long as you are not flat on your back. its actually good to work your abs, it helps with labor. there are different kinds of ab exercises you can do being pregnant. www.babycenter.com has different ab exercises that are safe for pregnant women and how many reps and stuff like that.
