The worst coach in the NBA, who was hired only because of his skin color, is finally getting canned after this season! Bernie Bickerstaff was a horrible coach and if he'd spent half as much time coaching his young and inexperienced players as he did arguing with the referee's over calls that are thirty minutes old (I'm not even really exaggerating), then maybe the Bobcats would be fighting for that 8th spot.
But since MJ has taken over, things are starting to turn around! Already names like Larry Brown and Lenny Wilkins are being tossed around as possible replacements next season for the Bobcats. Heck, if UK lets Tubby Smith go, I'd love to see him come into Charlotte where he can actually coach!
How would you rate Jordan's take-over so farand who do you think should coach the Bobcats next season?

Yes, the only "bad-news" was Jordan giving Bernie the option to stick around on-staff. But, since when do NBA coaches do that? If Bernie doesn't try to take a coaching job elsewhere, it just further proves he was hired because he's buddies with Bob Johnson.

To that one guy... I'm actually 100% correct about that. When Bob Johnson decided to start an NBA team in Charlotte, he publically said he was ONLY going to hire a black head coach. So how is that wrong to say?

Yes, but I can blame Bernie for not having his talent progress as much as they should have. Unless you watch Bobcats games, you can't know how badly coached his team looks at times. There are far less "talented" teams in the NBA who have had more success just because of good coaching.
Emeka Okafor, Gerald Wallace and Raymond Felton all would start on any NBA team. Throw in Adam Morrison, Matt Carroll and a healthy Sean May, and you have yourself a very talented and young nucleus. I think any coach would be salivating to take over a squad with such potential.

Wow that is a list of terrible answers. Bernie is not a great coach, and he does spend to much time arguing foul calls. But at the same time it is not just his fault that the bobcats suck. Building through the draft sounds great in theory but at some point you have to lure a few decent free agents to your squad if you think you are going to contend. Wallace was a nice pickup and they have drafted well but at some point you have to pay these guys to stick around, and waive some money at high profile free agents. I think Bob Johnson thought he could bring a winning team to Charlotte on a shoe string budget. Hopefully Mike has explained to him that's impossible.
This offseason will be telling on whether the Bobcats ownership is committed to winning or not. The young guys they have are due some contract extensions or 3rd year option continuances. While that is happening they will be high in a strong draft class, and some nice free agents, and maybe some disgruntled superstars that are ready for a new start.
And into next season you would hope they find a coach who is a good motivator, and knows his x's and o's. Brown is a good coach but has much baggage, Wilkins is old and spent the last years of his coaching career losing with the Hawks. Tubby could be a good option but it might be a bit much pressure for his first run in the NBA. I hope that Mike knows someone who will fit the bill, but we will see.

It doesn't matter who is coaching this team, they are still gonna suck for quite a while. Larry Brown couldn't get anything done with the Knicks but Isiah has them fighting for an 8th seed. So if you think that Larry will turn that garbage around in Charlotte, you are sadly mistaken my friend. Lenny may be a veteran coach but he may also be tired of mediocre squads so he may pass on this job. Honestly, nothing short of a miracle will help Charlotte become good anytime soon. You can't blame Bernie for not being successful with such little talent.

I can't believe you just said that. The worst coach in the NBA, who was hired only because of his skin color? ........... No I'm not gonna say nothing bad. But you should get your *** whip for that. He was just a temp. coach. Everybody know he wasn't going to be around for long. COME ON every new team starts off bad. Look at the Raptors, they came in 95-96 season, didn't got good until Vince Carter came in. Alot of teams didn't start great. They had too many players injuried anyway. Come on. Emeka, Sean, and more of them boys was forever injuried. You can't blame that on the man. They didn't had all their players playing with each other together for a full season. He wasn't the worst coach. I seen worst coaches then him. TIM FLOYD. But he was just their for temp. of the new rebuilding Bulls. When they got rid of him and got Scott, they got good, because they got more experience. They are not getting Tubby, Lenny, or Larry Brown. You can forget about that. YOU really didn't had to put race in the mixed of this. You are DEAD WRONG FOR THAT.

I am very happy to see Jordan's take charge approach to Bobcat basketball. I too am thrilled with the possiblity of Tubby Smith getting "fired". That would really make my day if he came to Charlotte. I can't say that I'm really happy about Bernie staying with Charlotte. He really hasn't done a great job at GM.

Are you still gonna be happy when Jordan does as bad a job with the Bobcats as he did with Washington? I know they still aren't a winning team but they have been slowly getting better. This is an expansion team and a young team. It was going to take Bickerstaff time to make them a real threat.
