"Privacy"??? I'll assume you mean "piracy". The entertainment industry is notoriously slow to recognise the values of new technology. Witness the "Sony v. Universal Studios" suit a few years ago which established that VCRs were legal. The entertainment industry wanted to make VCRs illegal. But when they were declared legal, they made a tonne of money from them. This is the way it will be with the internet. Eventually they will learn --- and start making money. As an example, the original Napster could have been a gold mine for the music industry if they had handled it right. So, in answer to your question; No, they will not be forced to shut down. And eventually they will even find ways to profit from the online piracy that seems so rampant.

You would need to hack and end the world wide web AND the deep web, kill all the pirates, and stop distributing the said item.
