Greed isn't what the war on terror is about, it's about saving your butt so you have a Country to live in peacefully.

I am a conservative and I will give you my opinion:
1) They say minimum wage is bad, but what about poor people trying to raise a family on one income?

Well if it is a family (two parents and children), and both parents are able, they should both be out working!

2) They don't want to raise taxes, but look at how much money rich people have! They don't need that much!

I don't want them to raise taxes at all. But I also don't believe you should "take from the rich and give to the poor." Taxes should not be progressive. Everyone should pay the same amount per year whatever the price may be. I shouldn't be punished for being successful and having money. It should be up to the individual on what he/she gives to the needy.

3) They want jobs to go over seas so that Corporations can make more profits. How does this help poor people?

Again, I think corporations should stay in America to make jobs for Americans, but unfortunately, they can do as they wish.

1) Minimum wage is a price floor. It does NOT magically lift the wages of the people you claim to represent. Rather, it takes away what little they have. Moreover, 70% of minimum wage earners get at least a 30% raise within a year anyway - unless they never get the job to begin with. Lastly, most minimum wage earners are students, housewives, retired people just looking to get out of the house, or immigrants - there are some heads of household earning minimum but excluding immigrants it's maybe 20-25% of them.

2) Who cares if people "need" what they have? Technically we don't "need" more than a cave and a fire! Who are you to decide what people should have? It's not like they took it from you! And since we've cut tax RATES, tax REVENUE has gone up, and the share of taxes paid by the rich has also gone up!

3) Free trade has created more jobs than it has lost.

The question isn't greed - everyone's greedy and equally so. The question is what do you do with it - - do you have a market in which the only exchange is voluntary, or do you have a command system in which the few make decisions for the many. Theresa Heinz didn't "earn" her wealth but her dead first husband saw fit to leave it to her - and it's irrelevant to me because she can't MAKE me buy her ketchup.

You DO realize that there's a difference between fiscal conservatives and social conservatives, right? I am socially barely right of center, but fiscally just left of center.

1. I am all for the minimum wage, but I do not believe that we should have a federal minimum wage increase. In the states where the minimum wage is lower, the cost of living is lower. In Oklahoma, my ex and I rented an apartment for $225 a month. In Washington, where I'm from, the same apartment would have cost upwards of $400 a month. Minimum wage in Oklahoma is still less than $7, if I'm not mistaken. Minimum wage in Washington is nearly $8 an hour.
2. What would we raise taxes for? More programs? I see no reason to raise taxes, unless it's ONLY on those who have a yearly income of more than 5 million. HOWEVER, if those who have that much money are donating money to charity (or are like Bill Gates, who donated hundreds of computers to school districts), they should NOT have a tax increase of any kind.
Our government DOES need to reallocate funding. They do NOT need to raise taxes. And I'm not rich, by the way.
3. Outsourcing does happen when there's free trade. I'm not for it, but I see no way to stop it, unless we adopt an isolationist stance. But we benefit from trade as well. Neither way is going to be perfect.

Quit generalizing, and please, next time you post a question like this, make sure you make the distinction between fiscally conservative and socially conservative.

1. minimum wage is a starting salary. If the job is worth more money, then it will pay more money. If the employee is worth more money, then they can demand more money. Don't force someone to pay a lazy person X amount because they must. If you force a fast food chain to pay more money out, their prices will go up, costing the poor people to spend more money on food.

2. Poor people pay 0-8 percent average income tax----- Middle class pays approximately 20 % income tax ----- "rich" people pay approximately 32 % income tax.

who do you want to raise taxes on? Or do you want to tax the businesses, so they have to raise prices, to pass it on to "the poor" people?

3. Corporations go overseas to make more profits becuase of the rediculous tax structure. A corporation's main goal is to make money. Are you saying everyone who has a job is 'greedy'?

If you don't want to work hard, then fine, don't work hard, but don't call others greedy because they want to reap the rewards of their hard labor. Get off your lazy azz and get to work, so you can do the same. Don't demand to receive everything the "rich" get, without doing the work.

I'm not greedy. I work for what I have and don't want to be forced to give it to a government that mismanages everything they touch. I don't expect others to take care of me or support me. Minimum wage is a scam. As it increases so does the cost of living. Rich people contribute massive amounts of money to private charity and then are forced to pay outrageous taxes. Jobs go oversees because people don't go into business to provide charity. If the libs make it unprofitable to stay in the US, the business will go elsewhere.

Greed is believing you are entitled to what others have worked for. Who are you to say the rich don't need or deserve what they have earned? As far as I'm concerned, expecting others to shoulder your burden is extremely greedy.

1.We provided a free education,if they didn't take advantage of it that's their own fault.
2.Somebody works hard and does well, then gets taxed every time he turns around.
5% of the tax payers pay 80% of the taxes, what's fair about that.
3.Jobs are going overseas because of government regulations, mandates and taxes.
If you Libs adopted a BUSINESS friendly attitude maybe they'd stay.

Why are libs so GREEDY?
You want bloated wages, your health care paid for,Free or low cost housing, food stamps ect
Next you'll want someone to wipe your butt for you.

Don't confuse economic sense with greed.
Having sour grapes about those who have more than you and whining about it isn't going to make your financial situation any better.
So what are YOU doing to better your financial picture? Is it driven by GREED??

Here's something to think about. Very, very few people actually fit your stupid little stereotypes, and the ones who do aren't exclusively conservative.
