I am 36 weeks pregnant with my third child. The last week or so when the baby moves, I have this feeling of pressure in my groin area, it feels like a burning sensation. Has anybody had this feeling, or know what it is? Thanks!!!!

I'm 39wks tomorrow and for about the last 2wks I've had this same burning sensation sometimes. I know it's not contraction type pain, and it only last 1-2 mins, but for me it seems to be right above my pelvic bone, maybe off to one side or the other. I wish I knew what it was because it really hurts!! I didn't have this with my previous pregnancy at all, but this one is different. It's a feeling like a burning/tearing sensation (like a torn muscle or something). I'm interested in reading your other answers to see what people think. But you are not the only one to experience it---sure wish I could help you figure out what it is though.

My best friend who just had her second child also experienced this. The doctor told her it was normal, the baby was just in a position that was putting more pressure on the groin area. If you are concerned at your next check-up ask.

It's probably pressing down on your bladder. Do you often go to the bathroom and still feel like you have to pee when you can't anymore? You can go to the doctor and make sure you don't have a urinary tract infection.

Could be that the baby is pushing on your cervix -- mine does that sometimes. Ask your Dr. at you next visit.
