Can anyone tell me why people are so against FOX news. I am serious. I truly don't understand why people cut them down. I watch FOX and find their news to be more balanced than any other network?

Serious answers only please. No bashing necessary.

It is just that Fox dares to present the conservative side of most stories and also tells the negative stories about the left wingers that are usually ignored by the left wing media wonks. Unlike the other networks, fox allows both sides to present their story and has some real debate. Try watching some of the different networks and then contrast and compare their positions and slant. You will see why many more Americans now prefer the Fox network to get their info on what's really happening in the world today. Many libs will not come on Fox because Fox dares ask real questions and won't coddle them like CNN or MSNBC

Forgive me but Fox News is no more balanced than any other news organizations and frankly, when you or others make that assertion, you show your own bias.

All news media has a bias, in the 20's and 30's most newspapers were very conservative, times change.

I find this notion of balance rather amusing since balance is something no one wants, not really. We all want to be able to nod in agreement with what we hear and God help anyone doesn't because we'll just yell at them and call them 'traitors' or 'fa.gg.ot' or worse. It's all entertainment now, lots of glitz very little substance. That's what media has become. It's about money and fame, both Left and Right do it.

A shame really. Personally I find I have to read both Liberal and Conservative papers just to get the facts and at the same time try to sort out the bias, opinion and slant.

Why do we hear those tired old phrases over and over again.
"Fox feeding opiates? Don't you have any original words?
People watch Fox because they enjoy it. You have to wonder why someone would listen if they can only find fault. It seems they get some kind of enjoyment out of listening for a few minutes and then they switch over to the Lib stations to learn how to present it as a question here. Fox is what we enjoy. Why can't you leave it at that?

You know how I say that Republicans give to causes that they like and don't care if any one else does or not, and Democrats choose their causes and want to pass a law so everyone has to give to it........ Well now you see this in action when the Libs don't want us to watch Fox.

I voted Democrat BUT I watch Fox news because I need to understand the other side when I want to debate. I however am appalled at some of the gross inaccuracies constantly spouted at Fox and can understand WHY America has such problems when it comes to debate.

On one hand, is is FAIR to have a conservative-biased news outlet, that I agree, but lying is going a bit too far and worse, suing for the right to lie is just unacceptable from a NEWS ORGANIZATION - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eZkDikRLQrw

Watch the BBC News and compare the way the exact same topic is reported. Also, listen NPR as well.

I believe it is best to get news from as MANY SOURCES as possible and they DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH.

I would however also like to point out the Lou Dobbs is sometimes NO BETTER because he does bring on people with a serious axe to grind that help support his viewpoint and is notorious for badgering visitors who oppose his view so even CNN is guilty in letting Dobbs do this at times.

Check out one clip of Bill O'Reilly's factual errors being exposed, errors which Bill unfortunately rarely admits (and this is merely one of MANY examples).

Some media are slightly biased to the left or to the right. Every so often, often because of who owns it, a media outlet will be significantly skewed one direction or the other. It happens that for now, FOX is skewed significantly to the right. That means that the stories they choose to cover tend to favor the ideas and attitudes of the Conservative side of the American political spectrum or to report stories not complimentary to theLiveral side. They may also write the stories with a bent to the right. It is nothing new. Throughout history we find one or more media outlets skewed one way or another. Usually there is another one skewed in the opposite direction. For now that seems to be CNN but either can change as ownership changes. If one consults a variety of sources for news he usually gets a truer picture of what is really happening than if one consults only one source. Most used to be balanced in their coverage but lately tabloid journalism seems to be the norm. Sensation sells regular news doesn't.

Truthfully, the libs are just so used to the media always taking their side in everything that they just can't handle it when one network tells both sides of the issue. They don't like Fox News so they think that YOU shouldn't be able to watch it either. liberals are not very democratic in their thinking. If you don't agree with them 100% you are considered the enemy and they will resort to name calling, outright lying and any other devious method they can come up with to bash you. If you watch Fox News pay attention to what happens when they have an issue being discussed by the two different sides. First the lib makes his/her pitch, and then with the Conservative's turn comes up, invariably, the lib will shout over the Conservative every time. They are rude and ugly people.

People who do not watch Fox or are half-blind have the dumbest opp-ion on Fox News. Here is something I do, Talk to someone about a bias in media and with out saying " Liberal " make them think that is where your going and lead them on, they will say " where is no bias in the media " and you say " Oh I'm talking about Fox " and expect a great conspiracy story.

Me neither! I hope that was clear enough for you since you reported me for agreeing with you when you asked how long till we have a terrorist attack again if we pull out of Iraq too soon and I answered "What time is it?" I guess I need to explain that I think it will be so soon that whatever time it is now, it will happen shortly. Sorry, for being so obtuse for you! I'm beginning to see why liberals are so annoyed with conservatives who report anyone they even suspect might be disagreeing with them!

Fox is great! I've asked the same question and I just get criticized by the liberals. They dont watch, so they dont understand that most of the programming is extremely balanced. I think some of the shows go out of their way to appease the liberal views by providing these one-on-one, two-on-two debates. They're great and very informative. Not only for the conservatives and liberals, but the moderates too. I love em!

Certian people only want one side of the story told.
Theirs.

That being liberals. You don't see conservative going ape and pulling out of debate if CNN show up.

If Fox in the mouth piece of the GOP.
Than CNN, NBC, ABC, CBS, & NPR are all mouth pieces of the DNC.
