i know its not legal and it stains tanks filters and could damage injectors and can be detected in tanks for a long time and of course the fine if caught is quite a lot and is only for use in farm vehicles. but can it be made clear

when the fuel is distributed to be sold there is a portion that red dye is added to be sold for farm equipment or heavy equipment. If you run this red dye in your vehicle you will notice alot of smoke out of the pipes. Partly becouse of the dye. Yes there is a heavy fine if you are caught with it in a vehicle on the road.

Maybe. But the time and expense to do it would probably be worth more than the amount you'd save.
