ah i feel you. i was in great shape for my wedding in february, gained about 5 lbs and in october got pregnant. i have gained 23 lbs and i'm only 25 weeks along. i just gain alot in my pregnancies (this is #2). i have worked out as much as i can (first elliptical and walking, now i can only swim with my legs tied together because of pelvic problems). i thought i could be a trim pregnant woman, but i will say i am toned and feel confident about my body. but i'm not slim. the good news is, you can lose it and get an amazing body afterwards. just do the best you can, and at the same time, enjoy the ice cream once in awhile :)

You can't really loose weight or "get fit" while pregnant. But I still go to the gym 4-5 days a week (train 2 times a week & take classes the other days).
Slow up your workouts, though. You have to make sure you don't overheat, lift anything too heavy, & start to watch your abs. Usually around week 16 no more abs on the floor (Use a ball or an roman chair)

Welcome to the club. I was really petite before getting pregnant and luckily, I snapped right back to normal a week after having the baby. I ate healthy but I ate enough!! And of course caved into those cravings for ice cream every night. BUT I went to yoga classes twice a week and did a Windsor Pilates DVD about 3 times a week. Don't work out your abs. But do go for walks it's a great body workout and healthy for pregnant women! After the baby is born you have the rest of your life to work out your mid section. Just give these next 30 or so weeks a rest :)

Yes I agree, keep exercising every day. If you aren't nauseous it's much easier to keep fit. Hopefully you don't start throwing up. I exercised a lot and then I just started vomiting every day and couldn't exercise because it was too hard. Then I got a little bit too fat. So it is possible but can be very uncomfortable to work out when you are sick. Just don't raise your heart rate to more than 140 beats per minute. You will get too hot and that can cause problems for your baby. Because you will get REALLY hungry, and will want to eat non stop all day, you have to burn those calories so I don't recommend doing the dieting thing. Just work out, with walking or slow jogging. Perhaps use an elliptical machine.

you can definitely be fit and pregnant at the same time. keep in mind that fit and pregnant is not the same as having a flat stomach. you need to check with your OB/GYN to see what exercises are safe. it is actually great that you want to stay in shape while pregnant. there are so many benefits: healthier baby, easier labor and easier to get back into shape after the baby is born. you can prevent many complications and diabetes while pregnant (many pregnant women can develop diabetes temporarily). plus with the swing of hormones, being healthy helps. your doctor can let you know which prenatal vitamins you need. i have several friends who ran, did yoga, bike riding and other aerobic exercises while pregnant. the key is to make sure that you are not overexerting yourself and stopping if/when you feel discomfort or pain. good luck.

yes you can be fit during pregnancy. i lsot 30 pounds and got into the jean size and the shape that i wanted and then i found out that i was pregnant. it took a while to get there and i wasnt going to let pregnancy get in the way of being fit. i did pregnancy yoga all through my pregnancy and jsut recently stopped.. i am 38 weeks and did it the whole time. the only place that i gained weight is in my tummy... but its all baby. if you do the yoga and eat right, you should have no problem getting back to your prepregnancy size! good luck hun!
