This may prove that the experts should have been fighting for NC State to get in the NCAA tourney and not Drexel.

Yeah you right the committee was right. NC State came back and whip that behind. I didn't care if they been in or out. I'm just mad the Orangemen, FSU, and Clemson not in. But they got to prove they belong by going to the Final Four of the NIT. Drexel had the chance so I guess they were right. Drexel beat some Big East teams, BUT THEY CAN"T HANG WITH THE ACC. They wouldn't beat the 12 teams in the ACC. I know the fans felt like a bunch of a$$e$ for taking shots at the NCAA and LOSE in the 1st round of the NIT. LOL. I love college basketball.

NC State went to the ACC finals, and this year the ACC was the best and toughest conference. They played a great first half against a UNC team that over matched them. They gave UNC fits. Some experts were picking NC State to win the NIT after their surprising ACC performance if they could keep it up.
Drexel came out early but in the second half NC State got their stuff together and showed why they were so surprisingly good.
So, it wasn't that much of a shock to me. Drexel was just a victim of seeding. Honestly, Drexel and NC State are both better than alot of teams in the NCAA tourney right now.

That's what happens when you go into selection Sunday with an elitest attitude. Drexel is a good team and had a good year but how many other teams would get in with losses to schools like Penn., Rider, William&Mary, and a home loss to Hofstra. If you go in expecting to make the big dance it is often times impossible to get up for the Not Invited Tournament. Plus, dont discredit NC State, they are a hot team right now with an impressive run through a REAL confrence tournament.

Amen. NC State is good, but not superior. If Drexel really deserved an NCAA bid, they'd have won last night.

That game could have been a combination of Drexel wanting to be somewhere else and NC State just glad to still be playing. Can't argue the fact that State has stepped up a bit though. I was curious though, I missed the game, so.... was Lowe wearing the "jacket"?

Woot go Wolfpack!!!! NC State is my team but i wouldn't say that the ACC is the strongest conference this year. Sidney wasn't wearing the jacket this game. He saves it for the acc tourney and Carolina games. THe Nc State basketball program is about to become a national contender once more. (and it's about time after 24 years).

It was just Drexel's bad luck to draw a very hot NC State. As far as feeling "snubbed" by the NCAA..They lost to ODU twice and did not make it to their conference finals...NIT's
I wouldn't fret too much on Drexel's demise..they have one hell of a recruiting class coming in....Remember this name..Jamie Harris..6'1 guard, Kidani Brutis 6'2 guard and Gerald Colds.....Harris is a stud....Tiny Archiblad clone.

That's exactly why I said they shouldnt have gotten it. They finished 4th in a mid major conference, with losses to schools like William and Mary, and Rider. Not exactly basketball powerhouses. We wouldnt even be talking about Drexel if they hadnt beaten Syracuse and Villanova.
