you would do better to return the USB adapter and get an ethernet adapter and just plug the cable into the back of the XBOX, plus, its more reliable for signal for gaming

I take it you have a wireless router already? Have you worked on the wireless settings for the router, choose channel 1 or 11. Channel 6 a lot of times is not found.

Does your 360 recognize your USB wireless adapter? If it doesn't your in no luck will have to get a new adapter. Hope this helps, give me an email if you have any further questions. I just upgraded my router to a Wireless G router from Linksys and I was previously using a Wireless B router from microsoft.

My Tivos, PS3 and Wii are connecting using the router and works really well, the 360 is wired. Hope this helps.

Are you having trouble getting online my friend?
Well here's a tip: once you connected your universal serial bus(USB) linking from the router to the 360 test your connection if it doesn't work well then i don't know but if it does go on and create your live account. oh and make sure its has a sufficent MTU count otherwise it won't work. if you don't understand what MTU means go on to the 360 settings in the 360 dashboard.
if you do make it: heres my live account: crimsondevil423
