Wouldn't it be Britain who promise the Israelites the land? Why didn't they do that in the midst of the Arab's world?

Actually, Britian made conflicting promises to the Israelies and the Arabs.

It's a very long and very complex issue.

I could write for all 3 days left for your question, and still not cover the whole issue.

brief answer, it's human natures fault. No matter what concensions were made on either the part of Israel or Palestine, there was always going to be trouble fom having them live side-by-side.
But if Israel hadn't been allowed (by many nations, not just the Brits) to settle in their Promised land/Homeland/ideal area, then guess what? There would have been trouble.
Hindsight is a wonderful thing, and the reason history should still be taught in schools.

Hope someone gives you more detail, but this is pretty complex to tackle on a message board. Sorry to be rude, but try reading some history books, if you're interested. Although they'll all be biased anyway!

The Jewish religion predates Islam and Christianity and has it's foundation and many of it's holy lands based in the middle east.

Following WW2 the Millions of displaced Jewish people needed a place to go thus Israel was created by Britain in an area under British control, where the Jewish people had a historical connection.

The on going conflict is not directly the fault of Britain. It is the people who continue to fight and refuse to discuss, reach agreements and sign treaties that will allow for a peaceful resolution.

All of that land; Palestine, Lebanon, Syria and Israel, was once called The Kingdom of Israel, b.c. The Assyrians forced many of the Jews out and then the Romans and Ottomans had their take at it too. The Jews have been fighting for their land for centuries, and finally, a state was established. However, Syria, Lebanon and Palestine were furious that the Jews received any land what-so-ever, let alone territory that they occupied (even though they occupied by theft). So, the battle continued. What is sad about the whole situation is that children in those anti-semetic countries are being taught the the Jews stole THEIR land, and thats a bunch of camel $h*!.

The Jews and the Arabs are to blame. Jews and Arabs have always lived there and the Arabs knew the Jews wanted to come back. Both sides are to blame for not fixing the problem.

IT DOES NOT MATTER WHOSE FAULT IT IS , PUTTING BLAME TO SOMEBODY WILL NOT SOLVE THE PROBLEM, LET MOVE ON AND PUT A SOLUTION TO THIS CONFLICT BEFORE IT RUINS ALL OF US.
