Partial eclipse, visible from southern India, up to the north pole, and south into Alaska. Starts at 00:38 UT (6:08 am India standard time), and ends at 4:25 UT (8:25 pm Alaska Daylight Time).

The greatest eclipse, in north-central Russia, will have the Sun 87% covered by the Moon, at 2:32 UT.

UT = Universal Time (used to be called GMT).
