Hi there.

Our prof says that we must interview a celebrity. He says that it must also be recorded in a videocam (with no cuts) and must last for 30 minutes.

We are 5 members in a group and we will interview a famous basketball player in the Philippines.

DO YOU HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS ON HOW CAN WE MAKE IT SUCCESSFUL? SINCE IT MUST BE RECORDED, HOW IS IT DIFFERENT FROM A JOB INTERVIEW?

Thank you so much!!! I NEED YOUR REPLIES BADLY.

Have a nice day.

First research this persons life. Where are they from, what are their interest other than their profession. What about family? Are they married single do they have children? You're not going to ask questions that probe because then your basketball player is just going to get quiet. However, ask them questions about the things that you have researched. Make a list of the questions that you want to ask conduct the interview with each other see if it last the full 30 minutes. If not ask more questions about possible future goals, their education etc. Never ask a question that you are not fairly certain of the answer. Also, have your questions in a chronological order don't ask an education question then a family question get them together by category and follow a time line. Remember you want people that watch then interview to feel that they know all about this person when they are finished. A hint keep the camera mostly on the person that you are interviewing other wise it will end up looking like a tennis match on screen. Good luck remember the more preparation you do the better your interview.
