Anyone know how long a Homebuyers report takes to come through?

Hiya, once the Surveyor has been out to your property then it should be out to you roughly within 2-5 days providing you have paid for it already. The Surveyors may hold onto it if they havent recieved the payment yet.

I just moved into another house and being a bit careful, I paid for one of these reports. It took about 2 weeks and even then I had to chase, chase, and chase it again!!
What a load of sh1t.! the surveyor told me about a problem which is know to exist in some parts of the country in houses of this age, but this problem (red ash) has never been reported in this district! yet he failed completely to let me know about a peat bed which comes right up to my next door neighbours property. And is very well documented on local government maps!
He also failed to go into the attic as there was some furniture stored in it!. The report was nowhere near value for money, I could have written a better one myself, yet I thought I was doing the right thing.
In all, I felt I was being totally ripped off and without any recourse to recovery.
I had a bad experience and will only say that if you are living anywhere Newcastle-Under-Lyme, UK, be very careful about anyone providing homebuyers reports.

I've just recieved one which I asked to be carried out prior to making a decision or not to buy an old bungalow. Good job I did!
It took the surveyor two weeks before he could go to site, then some hours doing his stuff and a day to produce my report. Hope thats helpful.

Phone every morning and afternoon. Keep at them and be business-like. Tell them how urgent it is. You have to keep after these people as they will process the shouters first. You keep shouting---you get the job done.

We have just had one done
The survey was carried out 09.00 - 11.00 on a bungalow.
He gave us the report that evening at 18.00
