I think I found the solution I bought a humidifier the air is so dry in my house we have all been sick! I have been told by doctors that I need a humidifier air is so dry not good for you! The end result we all got well and the dust in my house is alot less. I only have to dust 1 time a week that is amazing. When I open the blinds dust does not fly everywhere. I just wonder when it was so dry how much dirt I was really getting up and how much was flying in the air! I bought a big humidifier does the whole house! Home Depot has the unit has the ion thing and it says it naturally washes the air!

A big thing that causes dust that people don't realize is a furnace. Do you have one? That creates SOOO much more dust in a house. If you've got one, you may want to have it serviced and cleaned, or try cleaning some of it yourself.

Since it's running constantly in the winter and whenever you do laundry, run the dishwasher, take a shower etc, all the dust on it and in it gets stirred up, and there is dust all over what you JUST cleaned.

I call things like that a PITA: a pain in the a**

I agree! It seems no sooner have I dusted and I sit back thinking what a good job I've done, then I've got to do it again! A lot of it is skin cells, sorry. Yuck! Maybe, it's not more dust, but rather that people are shedding more skin cells! Now there's a thought....

The arrival of Spring is wonderful, but those rays of sunlight beaming through your windows really show up the dust - not to mention the dirt on the windows! The disposable dusters you can buy which are impregnated with polish seem to help - they 'soak up' the dust rather than just lifting it in the air to settle on your furniture again later. Happy dusting!

There is more traffic from cars now than ever before. Everybody is driving. There is more junk on the roads than before including chemicals and just plain dirt from the shoulders. Cars kick up a lot of grime and this grime comes right into your house. The closer you are to a road, the more dust. I dont think humans are shedding anymore skin cells than before but the number of cars kicking up dirt has multiplied tenfold. More cobwebs now too.

LOOK for Spontex, duster wipes, these little dusters will cut your cleaning time in half . There is something inside these little dusters that stop the dust settling back again ,first time I used them I kept going around the house looking for something to clean .

Depending on where you live, you may be experiencing an early spring. Which means pollen. Or there might really be other forms of dust.
