I don't know the name of this particular song or the artist but I'll describe it as best as I can. It came out in the late 90s. Very Pop/Rock. It's starts with a jangle rockesque guitar riff. The singer (male, by the way) sings a quick "oh" and then the whole band goe sinto the verse section. The verses have lines like "It wa sjust last week," "I was searching and could not stop the world that would change," and "thinking about the love that we would make." In the refrain, it's hard to make out what the lead singer is signing because he sings very high. It sounds like he's singing "I was staring at!" then a call and response thing happends when another vocal sings the exact line after the lead singer sings it but in a different octave. This happens three times every time they go to the refrain (or chorus). I tried for 10 years to find out what artist and song title this is. Any help will be ggreatly appreciated.

I've heard it at Supermakets and at the mall.

I wonder if it is a One Hit Wonder. I found a site that brings up the One Hit Wonders by decades with the song title and artist. I glanced through looking for titles that matched any of the lyrics you have. Nothing popped out at me. But it might be worth a try. If you see something that looks promising you would have to take the song title and use another site like leoslyrics to get all the lyrics but you seem determined to find it so maybe its worth a shot. Good Luck !

no idea, but where did you hear it? If you hear it occassionally even now like on the radio call the station.

otherwise you have a brilliant memory to recall a song you heard 10 years ago.
