my car only really does motorway miles, my current timing belt has now done 48 000 miles

Peugeot state that the 1905cc/ 1.9td requires a cambelt at 72,000 or every six years, which ever the sooner.

60.000 miles is recommended, but if your worried change it now. Think you'd rather pay £100 for a cam belt change than £1000 or 2 for an engine rebuild.

60,000 is the average on most belts. Best to ask your dealer(just in case that make has a cheaper belt)

60,000 is usually the time most main dealers will change the timing belt, but that doesn't mean it will not go sooner - If you're bothered, get it checked during your next service

Change it QUICKLY - 5 years or 48,000 miles as a rough guide!!! Snaps and say Ta Ta to your engine dudette and HELLLOOO to a big bill for repairs!

to be safe change it every 30.000 miles if it snaps it is a new engine

I'd say change it with every fuel stop. (just to be on the safe side).
