Welcome to life. Sounds exactly like me. When I was in highschool I called myself a freak cause I didn't fit in with anything. I had a punkish style but wasnt punk, later I had a goth style but still not goth. If your doing what makes you feel good then it does not matter what anyone thinks, if people are your real friends then they won't mind it. That's just human nature, to be different. What a horrible place this would be if we all looked exactly the same down to the facial structure, skin tone, hair/eye color etc. I am currently preparing to dive into the gothloli scene and I am excited to see how the world around me reacts to it. I live in small minded alabama, so I know exactly what its like to be "bugged" for being different. When I first moved here I had a 14 gauge nosering and a shaved head. I became the local "neo nazi" because ignorance is bliss. I love not hate.

It depends where you live, a small rural community will react differently than people in a big city. Here in London, nobody really minds what anyone wears.
There are of course situations where you have to dress down. I assume you still go to school, and if a school uniform is required or if there is a certain dress code, you will have to restrict your fashion taste to places and times outside these regulations My daughter used to be in big trouble throughout her school time for wearing a nose stud, too many ear rings and bracelets and was in detention every second day, but it was her choice and she would not give in. She still has her own personal style, designs her own clothes and being an actress now everyone admires her individual style. :)
Simply stop worrying what people think about you and your style and be proud about it. Having your own personal style and eventually being a trendsetter is definitely better than being a sheep wearing what the crowd wears. If you are happy, just ignore everyone!

You sound like you already have your opinion down, why are you asking us? If you think so then go ahead and do it. What is this about your friends "never take risks" maybe they LIKE their clothes or like the "regular look". Not everyone is appealed to looking like a corpse, if that's what it is to take risks. Besides, your look isn't even original. It's been done. Some people just like that look, which is fine, but you sound like a prat who's just trying to get attention and be sooooooo "risky" and "cool".

Dress how you wanna dress girl, thats what i say. It's nice to have your own style rather than conforming to the norm because if thats not you, then you shouldnt be made to dress that way. You sound similar to me, people tag you 'punk' but you just like little bits of different styles and thats your own. Good for you ..x

It's definetely ok that u dress differently than others. I know tons of people that dress like you, and they get made fun of too. BUt, someoone told me that what they say goes in through one ear and comes right out the other. In other words, Dont' worry about what they say, who cares anyway? :)
Hope this helped

to look good is to feel good. so if you think you look good with that and is comfortable with your own style of dressing, why not? why bother about what other people say? have confidence in yourself!
well, perhaps 'punk' in everyone's mind is about piercings, tattoos, black nails, thick black eyeliners and skulls.

you sound like my daughter , she wants to be unique and original , she doesn't want to copy anybody else ...sometimes when we go out I can't count what she is wearing , it's a stage I was like that I was so unique that every one kept staring at me, it was a nice feeling at the time, you want to prove your personality and you are exploring your self go ahead and have fun.

you have to look inside yourself, if YOU feel comfortable wearing what you do then go for it. If it is affecting your family life and they are saying you look scarry, maybe you should take a better look in the mirrior.

Nothing you are doing is original.... stop trying so hard with your clothes and express your uniqueness in other ways.
