I pick mine. I do not like puss and yuck forming under a big red looking thing. Everyone yells at me and tells me not to pick them, but I have too. A lot of people I know are not "pickers" they just leave it alone. I think its best to pick and get that yuck out so they can heal. Am I wrong?

No u are not wrong!!! I am a self-confessed picker also and my picking doesn't stop with myself. I love picking my hubbie of his pimples as well. I think in some respect it proves that we r from the primate family which involves "grooming each other". I cant stand that we have a pussie growth under our skins. Once I pick them....I just dab some anti-bacterial cream on them just to eliminate the risk of infection....I am and always will be a picker! Just cos I enjoy it...lol.

Dry and/or greasy skin due to poor oil composition of the skin. Thick greasy oils clog pores, lack of oil leads to dryness and irritation. You need thin oils to moisturize while dissolving and clearing gunk in your poors. Try fish oil or seafood. 2 tsp fish oil a day or 4 servings of seafood a week. Stick it out for at least 2 months; it will take a long time to replace all your oil. Any effect after 1-2 days is temporary or random; so even if it makes you break out a little at first, you haven't given it a full try yet.

In the short term you can wash and moisturize well, but that will only go so far. Plus excessive washing can be drying and excessive moisturizing can be clogging. Use a small amount of a light moisturizer, made with oil not jelly or grease. Often that means soybean oil or mineral oil. Mineral oil means mined from the ground. So soybean oil is usually better, though mineral oil won't cause too much harm. Clean with soap and water, not a harsh acne cleanser. Even then they only work so well. So you really need the seafood.

Antibiotics aren't really good for bacteria long term, they'll come back in force after. Short term they may help. After you get off them find some kefir with acidophilus listed first or 2nd to replace the friendly bacteria they destroyed. Studies show less illness when you have these bacteria, even outside the stomach in places such as the lungs and elsewhere. You want friendly bacteria to fill the void when the antibiotics stop, not harmful ones.

In the short term you might also try 100,000+ iu retinol vitamin A (a megadose, and too much for normal use) or one of the acne drugs that is similar to retinol vitamin A. It's some minor harm to your organs, but it helps against bacteria on your skin. At least it doesn't have the other long term drawbacks to your skin that antibiotics and many scrubs do.

If you would like to learn how to treat your acne permanently and regain your health and wellbeing, without drugs, without typical acne treatments, and without any side effects, then this will be the most important letter you will ever read.

I leave mine alone. I just make sure that I clean my skin very good with an oil reducer and mine heal just fine. My husband is a picker and he has a lot of scars. It is a personal choice and I don't think there is a right answer.

Technically yes but I understand that it is a habit to pick. I tried this recently and it can help. try putting a dab of toothpaste on your face on the pimple and the ingredients in the paste will help dry up the pimple. You can put it on before you sleep and let it sit on it all night and wash it off in the morning. This works best on the really sore ones and dries them up.

I have been given this from Diane Irons, a former type don't be attentive to the source/url anymore. in case you opt for for to enhance out the stuff bc it irritates you blend yeast and tea tree oil extract right into a paste and placed under a bandaid in one day. it's going to upward push to the exterior and t. tree oil will dry it.

I used to pick too....even used a scalpel...but mine was really bad.....finally went on accutane and they were gone for good. The thing about picking is that it can cause scars, and infection....you shouldn't pick but I completely understand why you do....it passes....good luck.

you can pick them out if they're the dry kind....The ones with pus inside leave holes in the person's face...that's what my mom told me....so I pick the dry kind...let the others heal themselves....its more effective this way

Just rub Blistex medicated lip ointment on them as soon as you feel one appearing. Then keep reapplying.
