Is time travel really possible?

Various researchers have proposed ways in which backward and forward time machines can be built that do not seem to violate any know laws of physics. Remember that the laws of physics tell us what is possible, not what is practical for humans at this point in time. The physics of time travel is still in its infancy. While all physicists today admit that time travel to the future is possible, many still believe time travel to the past will never be easily attainable. Don't believe anyone who tells you that humans will never have efficient technology for backward and forward time travel. Accurately predicting future technology is nearly impossible, and history is filled with underestimates of technology:

If by time travel you mean the ability to move an object, such as a human being into the future or into the past there is currently nothing that works and no plausible scientific theory that provides a framework for believing such a thing is possible.

That said, we know about 2% of the complete story of the universe and glimpse only dimly its possibilities. But gaining knowledge takes time. From where we are now its doubtful that a comprehensive scientific theory allowing time travel will be developed in the next 200-500 years.

It happens all the time - so far we have only been using forward gear. At present we are only able to travel forwards through time at the speed of one minute per minute.

Whether it is possible to travel forward more quickly or backwards at all is more difficult to answer but I suspect that the answer is no.

theoretically if you traveled faster than the speed of light you would be traveling backwards in time. however our current understanding of physics says this is impossible. i like to think about it like this, if time travel is possible, where the hell are all the time travelers from the future. i would like to meet one who knows the winning lottery numbers. hahahahah

this is a really very intresting question butr nobody knows the answer but if there are some further discoveries or due to some reactions time travel might be there and if it is there it is so good

Not as we know it.

If you get into a plane and fly from Austrailia to Los Angeles you go back in time a whole day. Or do you.

Time and space are relative commodities.

Fiction. If there is, you would have seen people from the future.

Not in our present state of knowledge, and I doubt that it ever will be possible.

i don't think so

time travels forward only, it will never come back
there is no such machine that could control time and i think it is not possible for that to be invented
only God can control everything
