In the movie A Time To Kill, Carl Lee Hailey is found innocent of all charges.

That's a loaded question, really. I loved this movie. I think that it accurately portrayed a period of time that was horrific in our country. Things like this actually happened.

I thought about that too, when I first saw the movie. Was it right to find him innocent? I think justifiable homicide is the best term. They used the temporary insanity plea, which I don't agree with, but I think that in the same position, regardless of race, I would have killed anyone who did that to my daughter.

I loved the part in the movie when his lawyer was telling the story, telling everyone to close their eyes and imagine... and then as everyone was tearing up, he said "now imagine that she's white"...

Great movie!!

I thought it was 'just'. An 'eye for an eye'. It was real emotion and justice that swayed Carl Lee. Any one of those 12 jurors would have done the same thing he did. So would I. So he did. And justice was served.

It was a great movie, and in all honesty, I would probably have done the same thing, if I had been in his shoes.

However, 2 wrongs don't make a right. He should have been charged of something lesser, like man slaughter or something.
