Don’t you get it yet, we are a noble country and we are doing the right thing in Iraq and anywhere else we go to influence or convince the bad people into behaving. Certainly some Americans on their own have hurt our reputation (like abu ghraib) by behaving badly but these are renegade Americans who don’t represent our nations intent or ideals. The dems need your vote and the only way they will get them is to convince you how bad we are and how the only solution is to change our elected leaders. Journalist, same deal, people tire hearing good or positive stories so they sell hate and despair. Too many of you none thinking numbskulls have eaten it up, hook line and sinker. You all have been duped and Id appreciate it if you would knock off the silly whining and get you asses back in line. USA! USA! USA! Sweet land of liberty of thee I sing!

We already are aware that the country has been duped by Fox News and the Bush administration. This is not news to us.

Those of you who think that the media is not doing a good job in the USA, why don't you look at the news reported in other countries? Check out the BBC. Go on the internet. When I was in school I was tacght that all reporters have a bais. Right, left what ever. It is the job of the reader to find that bais and correct for it. Of course each of us has our own bais. The bottom line is that sooner or latter the truth will come out.

Well, you're clearly a nutcase.
Let's take your claims one by one.
1) Your media has an overwhelming right-wing bias.
2) You did not do the right thing in Iraq. The only people who have benefited from the war are terrorists.
3) It's not a 'few renegades' who have hurt your reputation, it's the actions of the government. Globally, people think Bush is more of a threat to world peace than Osama Bin Laden.
4) Of course Democrats want your vote. It's their job to want your vote.
5) There isn't much going right in America, so i think they're justified in saying it's going wrong.
6) Find a positive news story in Iraq, and the media will jump on it. Unfortunately, there aren't any.
7) 'USA! USA! USA!' Most countries grew out of blind nationalism ages ago.
8) Sweet land of liberty? Your freedoms are more curtailed than just about any Western country.

USA is the greatest country in the world. That does not mean that every action it takes is the best. Nor will I blindly follow the leaders. I care what is best for this country and really not much else. However, the adminstrations actions in the Mid-East has not reduced the amount of enemies, it has only made more. Our allies no longer respect or support us.
Bush's cowboy diplomacy has been a disaster.
And you think I am being deceived?

like i said before, If we had been in Afghanastan like we are in Iraq there would be no problem here with me but Iraq had nothing to do with what happened that day. the search for the man that was supposedly responsible isnt as a big an issue anymore with YOUR president. he admitted he didnt even know where he is and doesnt spend that much time on him. That is like someone coming into your house and destroying your living room and you go after his neighbor for beating on his wife. that doesnt make sense. Something must be wrong if the entire world is against his decisions and these ppl dont even know each other and they all feel the same way. THINK ABOUT IT

I support candidates based on their records, and what they have done. Assuming that all liberals follow the medias recommendations on what they should do is just as bad as me saying that all conservatives are mindless bush sheep. Do you see how ignorant I would seem if that's what I truly believed? The only way for Americans to have a true role in government is to educate ourselves about the issues and be open to other points of view.

It's not only liberals who think they have been duped by the journalists and politicians.
A lot of people were led to believe that the US going to war in Iraq would curtail terrorism, instead it has created a more unstable and dangerous middle east that unfortunately generations to come will have to deal with...

I am a "none thinking numbskull" and proud to be one.
This country was built on the principle that we have the basic freedom to peacefully disagree.
Love or hate what Bush/Republicans are doing, I find the bigger problem to be the one that you tacitly stated...
The belief that one should "fall in line" and just agree with the powers that be is ridiculous.
Good thing you are not a lemming...there would be a cliff with your name on it (along with hundreds of your friends).

Actually, I am quite intelligent enough to form my own opinions. I don't believe in a liberal media conspiracy. I believe that the facts are the facts, however they are spun. You say USA! USA! from the sidelines, but I actually stepped up and wore the uniform.
Parroting talk radio is just as bad as anything you accuse us of here.

Why don't you try reading some really good, well-researched, easily verified, well- documented books on political subjects (You can usually tell them from the others because sadly, most of them tend to be left-leaning) and see if you still want to ask that question.
We aren't, because we haven't been duped.

neo-con here, I think we have all been duped but by both sides, there is no good side to be on right now in my opinion. the plan just isn't working, all this freedom costs us and yet are we really free......I don't believe the stuff that is being shoved down our throats from either side..
