My dream home? Hmm...
LARGE, with both an attic and a basement. Energy-efficient, and with alternate sources of energy (solar for instance) so I won't be stuck up a creek in case the power grid goes down. A library, and a sun room with space for growing LOTS of plants. And a nice large kitchen with lots of gadgets and lots of storage! And the house would have to be computer-ready too: I suffer from withdrawal without my daily dose of internet. ;-)

Something along the lines of an eichler, or frank lloyd wright, with walls of glass that bring the outside in....a 4-6 car garage, on about an acre of land, about 2000 sf, with a basement, a heat pump, and a swamp cooler if it is in an arid climate, an arch driveway, fruit trees along the permiter of the back yard fence, and furniture that was from the modern or post modern furniture from the 30s/40s/50s, or well done reproductions...oh yeah...it would either be in california, or arizona
