Sure, people can trick themselves into believing that their world is perfect. Women can do this as well as men.

This is the modern myth of multitasking.

The reality is that no woman who works outside the home can be as successful a mother and home manager as the mother/housewife who does this full time. No married woman with children can devote as much time and energy into her profession as a single woman can.

Life is always made of trade-offs. If a woman is determined and does manage her time very well, does all of her background research, marries a partner she is in love with who loves her as well and has children at the appropriate time, she can do exceedingly well. She may not have it all, but she will come much closer to this than any man might.

Well i'm no woman, but my sister had 2 kids while in Harvard law school, graduated at the top of her class and is married. She is now a successful attorney in Washington DC, her and her husband are both able to work part time because their income is high enough so they can take care of their small children.

If that isn't having it all i dont know what is.

so the answer is unequivocally yes they can, they should and they will, since there are more women than men in college the corporate climate could change quite drastically in the next 30 years.

Well I would hope she had a husband before bearing kids but yes it is possible. If the guys sit at home and take care of the kids. Why not? Women get a better chance of making money than men to because there are jobs out there that women can get that men can't.

If she has an incredible amount of energy and her children are willing to help run things at home sometimes. And as long as her husband is the chief bread winner, they can all be happy. It just takes energy and less sleep than the average woman.

My wife is a CPA and has an MPA from McCombs (#1 school for Graduate Accounting).

She makes a six figure income.

We have two kids.

Yes, she can have it all if she works at it.

They can but maybe not all at the same time. Many women work outside the home when their children are small, but it's hard. It's easier when they aren't in day care.

You can have anything you want, but don't be mad if you can't handle it all.

Seriously, if you have an awesome husband who is willing to take the burden that you seem to be putting on yourself. Don't feel like it is just your responsibility.

Of course they can.

It depends on your definition of success. My wife has two kids and we are both professionals. She doesn't have everything perfect in her life, but I would call her successful.

If you mean CEO or something - I guarantee you that most male CEOs have miserable family lives too.
