It depends what kind of neighborhood you're looking for - the best schools are in Bexley, Upper Arlington and Worthington (suburbs), Grandview Heights is also a close-in suburb with good schools. If you don't have kids in school and want to avoid the exorbinant taxes of living in one of these places, the city of Columbus itself is enormous (goes into about 5 counties), so your options are many - if you've got money to burn, the near-downtown neighborhoods like German Village, Victorian Village, the Short North, etc. are great. You can save a bit by going farther out, though - Clintonville is also nice, and Westgate is kind of similar but still less expensive. But if you're into suburban sprawl, Columbus has that in great abundance - Dublin, Hilliard, Canal Winchester, Reynoldsburg, Pickerington, Westerville...the list goes on and on if you want endless commutes and cookie cutter houses. It's a great town, though - enjoy!

My sister and brother in law live in Dublin, Ohio. Its a very nice suburb of Columbus with great schools and affordable housing. They also live near Ohio State and Easton Place (a huge shopping plaza with lots of stores and restaraunts, etc.).
