I don't think they hate other religions, but they think that Islam is the only superior religion in the world which makes them feel good about them I guess. Their prophet Mohammed, who invented nothing but bullshit, is responsible for destroying the peace in the world. Not all Muslims are anti Buddhism, Hinduism, Christianity, Judaism etc. but majority of them still feels that the only truth in the world is their Quran.

Personally, I wouldn't know a Buddhist if I tripped over him/her. Did have the great pleasure of meeting one in Columbia, SC. VERY cool guy. Still keep in contact. Don't know where people get the notion that Muslims hate non-Muslims. We might hate the sin, but not the sinner. I prefer non violence any time, so I'm at home in the presence of peace and non violence.

It's not that muslims are threatened by non-violent presence, but the fact that certin individuals who are muslim are threatened by buddhism.
(It varys among people's opinions, doesn't matter if they're muslim. Even muslims disagree with each other sometimes.)

Most Muslims seem to have a greater antipathy towards atheists. Most Buddhists are atheists. They also have a thing about representing the human image and Buddhist use a lot of statues.
