while its american counterparts are a lot more transparent with regard to player salaries, the british have a lousy excuse of not making player wages public with the so-called confidentiality clause..

a lot of the figures you will read are based on speculations and the viewing public will never get to know the exact number... you will be hard pressed to find one source that will reveal all the figures to you...

perhaps it's time for the FA to follow the american model?! it already started with american businessmen acquiring premiership teams... i am sure salary caps, operational budget caps and disclosures are not far off...
