I am able to open the mails on Outlook web access but not on MS Outlook. I get the folloeing error message:
'Log onto incoming mail server (POP3): Unable to log onto incoming mail server (POP3). Please verify the settings in the username, Password and Email fields.'

But the username and password works fine on OWA.

Why is it?

Check with your network administrator. OWA uses http protocol, not pop3. Administrators can enable or disable whatever protocols they want. In addition, pop3 uses port 110. Make sure you don't have that blocked.

contact the admin, the POP3 is unable to log into the mail server via the outlook express

Sounds like your pop and/or smtp server is wrong. Search for your mail provider here and the pop and smtp servers for it. Obviously there is nothing wrong with your username and password.
