The first tooth usually erupts through the gum by the 6th to 7th month, but some children may not get their first tooth until after the age of 12 months. Don't worry he'll be getting some through soon. Hope this helps! :)

My son had 4 teeth at age one, 2 more at 15 months and the rest after 18 months. His little friends had mouth fulls. My pediatrician said, he will also hit puberty later, yeh!! He was fed regular solids except steak the who time without back teeth. If the food can be gummed he doesn't need to be on 3 month. Gumming food will help his teeth come in. My son was given ground meat and lunch meat for protien, other wise he pretty much ate what we ate just cut into small pieces. If the variety of textures isn't introduced the child could develope speech problems because the muscles in his jaw are not developed. Also be aware, he may have limited words until more teeth do come in. Give him graham crackers to gum, small pieces of bananas, pieces of grapes, cantelope, vegetables cooked soft, but still some purrayed to ensure he is absorbing nutrients. Cakes, cookies, pizzas, what ever also long as it he can gum the food item, it should be fine.

I didn't have teeth until I was about 16 months.

My son cut teeth at around 7 months so they are all different. I think the advice is if there are no signs of teeth at around 18 months then speak to your dentist or HV.

Babies don't need teeth to chew and at that age he souldn't be on the pureed jars, he should be eating a range of finger foods and lumpy jars or even better - homemade food.

She doesn't seem very well informed, get her to speak to her Health Visitor.

Be patient. Some children develop later than others. My 16 month old niece just broke her first 2 teeth about 3 months ago. Give him easy to chew things like pasta and french fries even though he doesn't have the teeth.

i am amazed that he is still on 3 month jars, my grandson is a year old next week he has one tooth that came through on monday but since he was 6 months old he has had not jar food i dont believe in them, we cook his dinners but he has had pasta, rice, chicken, fish etc food with lumps in as he has learnt to chew with his gums your friend is going to have difficulties now getting a year old child to chew when he has spent the first year of his life having everything mashed up for him. My father in law has no teeth he actually takes out his false teeth to eat he finds it easier, so no teeth cant chew is rubbish.

When teeth do come in–and that varies tremendously from child to child–experts agree that it’s a good time to establish healthy dental habits. Don’t put a baby down for a nap or to sleep with a bottle of milk, juice or other sweetened liquid. The sugars stay on the teeth while the baby sleeps and can do serious damage.

Well, first of all, she can give him third stage food and finger foods like biter buscuits, Cheerios, Kix, wagon wheels, etc. He does not need teeth. Most babies don't get their molars, which are used for chewing, until they are over a year (close to 2 years) anyway.

And, although it is rare, babies can make it to their first birthday with no teeth. If she is concerned, she should ask her dr about it on his 1 year check up. I'm sure he's just a "late bloomer" in that department.

All babies get their teeth through at different times,
i was born with a tooth, and my son had his first tooth at 4 weeks and my daughter had her first tooth at 6 weeks.
You friend could take him to the dentist with her when she nexts goes, but at 11 months it is still not that unusuall, some do not get them untill they are a year old.

My son got teeth at 12 months so that baby is just fine and they say the later your teeth grow in the stronger they are. So he or she will have very strong teeth.
