When I start on first gear, accelerate and then let the clutch go, everything seems to be fine. My truck starts driving and suddenly after about 2 seconds, the truck reacts violently and wants to stall (sort of the what happens when you release the clutch to fast). What is the problem? Transmission? Clutch? I sure hope it's clutch and not transmission.

No, I didn't clutch it wrong or anything. Like I said, This happen after it was already driving and everything was normal. About 3 seconds after I released the clutch.

As others have said, the noise is likely to be a worn release bearing. If the clutch is slipping (engine revs increase with no increase in road speed) then the clutch itself is either worn out or may simply need adjusting. Less commonly, but not unusually, the fault might actually be with the release fork. If you can put up with the noise there's no immediate need to panic, but it's definitely going to need to be replaced so start shopping around for a deal. When this is done, it's normal to renew the entire clutch assembly unless it's obviously near brand-new as the parts are relatively cheap compared to the labour so you don't want to pay to replace just the bearing and then later have to pay all over again for the clutch replacement. At 70k miles, your car may be on it's original clutch, but depending on previous drivers could also be on it's second or even third one. If it's on the original it would not be unusual for the release bearing to start to fail. Definitely get the clutch cable (if cable-operated) replaced at the same time as after 70k it's seen better days and isn't normally expensive. Many clutch-replacement specialists offer free diagnosis and free clutch adjustments. Don't forget to ask at a few Vauxhall dealerships as well as sometimes they can be competitive with the fast-fit chains and will use genuine parts. Don't be scared to haggle with them to get a better deal though! As long as the clutch works, your MOT tester has no interest in the assembly and so would not be required to comment on it.

This sounds like a trans problem. Most any clutch problem will be more evident when you let the clutch out. If the pedal feels normal when letting it out then I would think it is more likely in the trans. A good trans shop can diagnose both for you.

Hate to say it, but it sounds like the transmission. Im not 100 percent sure, but it really sounds like it. Take your truck down to a shop that offers free inspections and good luck!

Your problem may not be as expensive as a clutch or tranny. It may be as simple as a broken engine mount. Next time you start out watch the gear shift lever-if radically shoots to one side and stalls, its probably a broken engine mount.

The clutch disc has series of springs to absorb the shock of engagement. If a couple of the springs has been compromised you will experience those symptoms.

yeah, ever how much you let off of the clutch, you have to give it that much gas. you might wanna be careful, a clutch is not cheap.. and they are a you know what to put on depending on what kind of vehicle it is...
