The thing is, if God wants you to foloow the words in a book or be punished and God wants homosexuality to be illegal.
Your making Hitler sound like the new jesus.

That's assuming the left wing candidate was actually for equality, which is a difficult case to sell considering 'left-wing' ideologies such as socialism and communism devalue the notion of 'individualism' by focusing on the whole.
God always spoke to 'everyone' so in a sense I do believe he would embrace at least a part of the communal message emphasized by left-wing ideologies, that said, he would not curtail the free-will of the individual (which is more libertarian/right-wing) which makes him more of a 'middle-of-the-road' or centrist kind of guy.

He is a loving and awesome God. He doesn't need to vote, he is the one who holds all the answers to everything and he is the one who guides us in our lives, when we make the choice to come to him. He provides everything for us, he is the one who gives us direction. We as people think that we are running things in this world, but he is the one in total control of every thing. When we are with God then we will understand why thing were the way they are, but right now it isn't for us to know. We must simply put our faith in him and know that he will do everything that is right and good for us.
God loves all his children and he wants all of us to be kind/loving and fair with one another, to treat each well. I don't think that is either right or left wing, so much as it is beautiful and right. But remember there will be a judgement day! And no I am not telling you any such thing, as that would never be right.
Remember that God doesn't want us to be cruel/evil or ugly with one another, he wants his children to be loving and even forgiving people.
Again, it is my faith and I am not attempting to push my faith or belief on to any one, I am just sharing what I know and feel.

Since it is in our power to exercise free will, therefore believe in our own interpretation of our religious beliefs. God will favor anything you care to belive.
For example A christian reads the bible and it says fogive those that tresspast against you. However in another section of the same book it says an eye for an eye. anything he does therefore is ok because all bets are covered!

God wouldn't vote because he would know that ALL the candidates on BOTH sides really are in it for themselves and are lying to get votes.
He would simply wipe the slate clean and lay down some new commandments that even non-Christians and non-believers would agree on -
like "do unto others as you would have them do unto you"
