Do you think it's healthy or wise to start a war within our country while fighting a war abroad ?
I'm not referring to disagreement, I'm referring to all-out war on everything any Conservative Republican says or does . I don't believe it does anything but cause division and hatred . And the Democratic constituents pick-up on the bull, and carry it much further. . .. sometimes to point of insanity . There's a guy(and he's not alone) who's asking why the President bought a tie in S. America . How ridiculous is that ? And don't think for one moment that I'm only referring to him, cause I'm not . There's countless brain-washed stupid questions asked about things like : Laura Bush's driving record, the Bush girls not being 'sent' to Iraq, President Bush's oratory skills, the chimp, Conservatives being religious zealots, etc. etc. etc.
What Exactly is so 'Tolerant' about that ? And how does that 'Unite' our country ?

I think the Democrats realize how SCREWED they are. You see, they promised they'd stop the war & used that as their political platform to get elected. Now that they CAN'T do what they promised, they're scrambling to figure something out because people are angry and are starting to protest them. They're like a bunch of children, calling everyone else names & trying to point the finger and place blame so it makes them look less guilty. Their view....Let's take ANOTHER republican to court so the press will follow that story instead of covering our blunders. DUMBA$$E$

Ahhh.... smell what the Lame Duck Years are a cooking! Always heats up the kitchen before the next election. The waft of the auroma will surely stir up the pact animal instincts in the beastly. The beastly being on both sides, Conservative and Liberal.
Oh but that the answer would be so simple as the Conservative side asking the Liberal side to practice it's tolerance towards Conservative views. And the Liberals, well should just simply comply. Because then ... the Conservatives would so graciously return the favor as they are truely known for Their tolerance.
What was that? Did I hear "Pass the Plum Sauce Please"?
You may not win the home front war today, but possibly gain some ground on a battle or two if you cease from throwing in the 'oratory skills' and the 'religious zealots' with ...............the Bush females and other 'brain-washed stupid questions'. You get an "A" for effort because that was quite a pitch there Frazier! I got a chuckle out of that one. Did you mean to use humor to ... soften the blow? Or was that just a little friendly mud slinging between .....................men? ; D i

I think war is too strong a word, but I do understand the point you are trying to make. The partisan rhetoric in this country has reached an epidemic level. We would all be better served to discuss issues rather than people. The problem is that discussing issues requires facts and what I see from many of the type of people you describe is that they do not understand the facts and therefore resort to the lowest common denominator. I believe this behavior reflects an absolute frustration, but also an inability to express it properly. The best tactic when encountering this type of situation is to post honest facts and attempt to stay above the divisive useless comments of the questions or answers in general. Sinking to their level will never produce a win and at least for myself does not make me feel better about anything.

Okay, man. . . WERE YOU EVEN AWAKE FOR THE CLINTON PRESIDENCY?!?!?!?!?!?! HOW ABOUT THE FIRST 6 YEARS OF THIS DOOFUS'?!?!?!
Funny how the right can stomp on the left all it wants, but when the left gets veto power, it's time for "consensus." "Consensus" in this case meaning doing whatever the hell the president wants.
Laura Bush's driving record is invoked mainly in response to Ted Kennedy's driving record.
President Bush is a crappy orator. He represents this country poorly everytime he speaks.
There is a fairly significant right-wing Christianist movement and the leaders of the right kowtow to it fairly regularly.
Tolerance doesn't mean looking the other way when you're being attacked, you're being made to look a fool, or your sister-in-law cn't get married because of something some idiot translated from a thousand year old book. Tolerance is fighting the people responsible until they no longer have influence.

It is not just Democrats who question the war and the administration.
"It seems bizarre that it’s so unthinkable to change course if the current policy is failing. Our leaders are like a physician who makes a wrong diagnosis and prescribes the wrong medicine, but because of his ego can’t tell the patient he made a mistake. Instead he hopes the patient will get better on his own. But instead of improving, the patient gets worse from the medication wrongly prescribed. This would be abhorrent behavior in medicine, but tragically it is commonplace in politics."

I wonder how many of these idealistic liberal zealots know what patsies they're being made by their heroes on the left. Most of these "saviors" are career politicians with huge campaign war chests stuffed full by special interests. These are wealthy, power-hungry folks who replace the Rolex watch and the Gucci shoes with a phoney accent when they head down to Selma or Harlem for another Bush-bash fest.
If Ted Kennedy were dating your sister you'd do anything in your power to stop it...maybe that is, until he offered you a nice cushy job somewhere!
And before you go berserk with your thumbs-downs and "Republicans do it too!" diatribes, I'll save you the trouble.
Yes, they all do it...my guys, and your guys too.

And the 'war' continues on both sides of aisle. Look at how the Republicans escalate the 'war' everyday on Fox News and the Rush Limbaugh Show. Remember how the GOP spent hundreds of millions of American tax dollars to impeach a Democratic President for lying about a sexual dalliance? Why hasn't Bush been impeached for lying to Congress about "weapons of mass destruction"? The problem is perception: if you're a Republican supporter, you view everything the Democrats do as vile and wrong. If you support the Democrats, you criticize everything the Republicans do as vile and evil. It's time for this country to come together as a nation and recognize that the 'war' we should be fighting is one of basic survival. Democrats and Republicans alike tend to ignore important issues such as global warming; political corruption; crumbling infrastructures; environmental waste; corporate welfare; moral decay; covetous attitudes toward money; an unfair and unjust tax system that penalizes the poor and gives breaks to the rich; poor foreign affairs policies; and the murders of thousands of Iraq citizens and U.S. soldiers all for the sake of MONEY and OIL. Democrats and Republicans alike are to blame for this sordid squalor we find our nation embroiled in nowadays...and conservatives vs. liberals only fuels the 'war' and keeps the hatred going.
It's time for unity in America. -RKO-

I hate to inform you but the Repugs went to war with the Dems way back in 1994 when they took control of congress and they never let up until, oh yeah, they lost control of congress..... So from the time we went to Iraq up until Nov of last year, it was okay for the Repugs to wage war against us the Dems? Aha, I see, the ol' double standards strike again....

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!
That's great! That's the best joke I've ever -
Oh. You're serious. Okay. Ahem.
Well, honey, there is no "war" going on here at home. There is disagreement with the way things are going in the country, with our domestic AND foreign policies. This is caused by the majority of Americans - the MAJORITY, not just the liberals - being extremely discontent.
Do you think that your post is helping? Is it a solution?

You should read "Unhinged" by Michelle Malkin. The difference between fiction and non-fiction is that fiction needs to be credible.
You will not believe some of the b---s--- described and documented by Ms Malkin in her very scary book. We are not dealing with rational people here anymore.
