My daughter has 3-6 oz. sippy cups during the day and an 8 oz. bottle at bed time. She also has breakfast, lunch, sometimes dinner, snacks, juice and water.

My son is 11 mths old and drinking the same amount as a month ago which is 4-4oz sippy cups of milk. He has them at breakfast 6:30 am, snack around 10:00 am, snack around 2:00 pm, and bedtime at 6:30 pm. He drinks some water in a sippy at lunch and dinner time. He eats LOTS of regular food though. I make sure to get a wide variety in so that he's getting enough vitamins, minerals, protein, etc from his "table" foods to make up for his decreasing amounts of formula.

Babies of 10 months don't get ANY bottles of milk at my house. They are on sippy cups only by eight months or so. That aside, I can tell you that my 10 month old son has 4 oz. with his breakfast, 4 oz. with his lunch, and 4 oz. with his dinner (taken in sips during the meal). Then he has one full 8 oz. sippy of formula for his "snack" after his afternoon nap. If you include the formula I use to make his baby cereal in the morning, that makes about 24 oz. a day of formula that he gets in addition to 3 regular meals.

Mine is 9 months old. My goal (as prescribed by my ped) is for him to have 3 8-oz bottles and the rest of his food will be solids. I give him water to drink with meals and some apple juice. On the days he goes to daycare he tends to have more like 5 8-oz bottles and only 1 1/2 jars of babyfood. So it depends.

2, morning and bed time.
At 12 months the morning one stopped and just the occasional bed time.
Everyone is different though. I know one mum who has a 13 month old who is having 5 bottles a day.

If your baby is drinking too much milk, it means that you need to feed him more real food or baby food - milk is not nourishing his body anymore. He's growing and needs more, that way he won't be wanting so many bottles.
