Well dear, we never will know when the world will end; Only God in heaven knows that. But we should live each day as if it were our last, because we are never promised a tomorrow. Do me a favor though don't worry about when the world will end just thank God for everyday you wake up, that you can enjoy it another day. Tell your teacher he is not God and he does not know when the world will end and he does not need to be scaring you guys like that.

I don't really believe that there will be no generation beyond yours... that would mean that there would be no more babies!
I don't think that an earth science teacher is qualified to know these things... none of us are... only God knows and He has told a very few people His plan! The earth may come to an end as we know it, but will be re-born in a more glorified state
but that is hard to understand isn't it? The truth about the beginning and the end of all things is that we are of an eternal nature and the beginning and end of eternity is something we cannot begin to comprehend! Just smile and let the earth science teachers of the world have their own opinions and know that God has a better plan for all of us, His children whom He loves!

Ask your teacher if he wants to bet $10,000 on it. It is sad to hear that a teacher is so ignorant. If he told my kids such crap, I'd protest to the Dept. of Education. The Earth will end, but that won't be for billions of years when the Sun expands into a red giant. Various life forms could become extinct long before that, as many have in the past, e.g. dinosaurs.

I'm not so sure your teacher has got his/her estimates right --- but one thing teacher has right --- is that indeed the world will come to an end --- for starters the sun will eventually ' fizzle' out and life will not be able to be sustained --- but sadly mankind will be the ' culprit ' towards the demise of world as we know it --- it unfortunately is on a slippery slide as it is ( this is possibly why your teacher is pessimistic to say the least ) but who knows your generation ( and the next ) might just turn it on it's ear --- if those futures care enough . good luck

Your earth science teacher obviously has no knowledge of the future, so he is just assuming. The Earth will probably be completely destroyed in around 4.5 billion years, but that by no means means the universe or eternity will ever end.

Your earth science teacher is full of it, but the earth definitely will come to an end. The sun will run out of its hydrogen fuel in a few billion years, and will expand to emcompass the earth's orbit, pretty much f*cking it up for everyone. But you won't have to worry about that.

Hi dear,
I cant believe your science teacher could tell you something like that... even if its true, its harsh to tell something like this to a kid.
Anyways i dont believe in all this. Just enjoy ur life and have fun. This is ur time to hv fun. Dont believe in all this crap. People hv been telling that the world is coming to an end since many years but it has never happened. They just wanna spread rumours.
So, its not true. Dont worry.

No the world will not end. The world as they knew it before is ending.... starting with females getting equal rights, then blacks, etc etc. There's been a great change in the last 100 years for the best for all.

Its impossible for world to come to an end, life will continue to exist even after the extinsion of human race, so stop worring about the word coming to an end.

We succeed by destroying the mother nature(directly or indirectly). We are responsible for our own destruction, we are the victim of our own success.
