It's a parable about life. Plain and simple. Stop being complacent and fearful and find your lot in life.

Who Moved My Cheese is a book about change. Some people are prepared for change(change in their job,and their live in general). While others are so wanted things to stay the same that they don't prepare for the future. Its a very good, motivation book

It's a corny book about embracing change. More corny books in this genre are Raving Fans or The Fred Factor. If your boss has recently given you Who Moved My Cheese it probably means that they are trying to prepare you for upcomming lay-offs.

It's bout the fact that most people like things to stay the same and are afraid of change. They're like a lab rat in a maze that knows exactly how to navigate the maze to get to where the cheese is - in other words, they deal with the same stuff (job, family, housekeeping, finances, etc.) everyday in exactly the same way.

Now, if something changes - their job, a move, something in the family - people tend to get very anxious - we like things to stay the same because then we know how to deal with them, just like te rat wants the cheese to always be in the same place so she knows where to find it.

The books talks about this fear of change, and teaches you how to overcome it, to be prepared for change, even welcome it.

It's really a book about how to deal with change. Many corporations that go through buy outs have their employees read the book (the employees that aren't laid off that is...)
