Please please help as I can't get this tune out of my head. Am sure it was on an advert a while ago possibly O2 can't be sure though. No words involved just a melody which goes La de da, da de da de da. It's not by Paul van Dyk as one previous answer suggested. Thanks.

Could be Billy Joels - Piano Man

I think it's Piano Man by Billy Joel.
Here are the lyrics if they help any:
It's nine o'clock on a Saturday
The regular crowd shuffles in
There's an old man sitting next to me
Making love to his tonic and gin

He says "Son can you play me a memory?
I'm not really sure how it goes,
but it's sad and it sweet and I knew it
complete when I were a younger man's clothes."

Bridge: la di da da di da da

Chorus: Sing us a song, you're the piano man
Sing us a song tonight
We're all in the mood for a melody
and you've got us feeling alright

Now John at the bar is a friend of mine
he gets me my drink for free
and he's a quick with a joke
or to light up your smoke
but there's someplace that he'd rather be

He says "Bill, I believe this is killing me,"
as the smile ran away from his face
"well I'm sure that I could be a movie star
if could get out of this place."

Bridge

Now paul is a real estate novelist
Who never had time for a wife
And he's talking with Davey who's still in the Navy
and probably will be for life

And the waitress is practicing politics
as the businessmen slowly get stoned
Yes they're sharing a drink they call loneliness
but it's better than drinking alone

Chorus: Sing us a song, you're the piano man
Sing us a song tonight
We're all in the mood for a melody
and you've got us feeling alright

It's a pretty good crowd for a Saturday
And the manager gives me a smile
'Cause he knows that it's me they've been coming to see
To forget about life for awhile

And the piano sounds like a carnival
And the microphone smells like a beer
And they sit at the bar and put bread in my jar
And say "Man, what are you doing here?"

Bridge

Chorus: Sing us a song, you're the piano man
Sing us a song tonight
We're all in the mood for a melody
and you've got us feeling alright

Is it Eiffel 65 - "Blue (Da Ba Dee)"?

yo listen up here's a story
about a little guy that lives in a blue world
and all day and all night and everything he sees
is just blue like him inside and outside
blue his house with a blue little window
and a blue corvette
and everything is blue for him and hisself
and everybody around
cos he ain't got nobody to listen

i'm blue da ba dee da ba die...

i have a blue house with a blue window.
blue is the colour of all that i wear.
blue are the streets and all the trees are too.
i have a girlfriend and she is so blue.
blue are the people here that walk around,
blue like my corvette, it's sitting outside.
blue are the words i say and what i think.
blue are the feelings that live inside me.

i'm blue da ba dee da ba die...

inside and outside blue is his house
with the blue little window
and a blue corvette and
everything is blue for him and
hisself and everbody around
coz he aint got nobody to listen

i'm blue da ba dee da ba die...
