Our "almond-shaped" eyes are due to epicanthal folds. It's pretty much just a fold of skin that helps protect the eyes from bright sunlight, glare and dust (so that we can see better in harsh conditions).
ALL humans, including YOU once had epicanthal folds as babies in the womb. Some children lose them... if you're Asian you generally don't. The reason Asians don't lose the folds is because we originally came from really extreme cold and light conditions. (Have you ever been to the snow? The harsh sunlight reflecting off the snow makes you squint doesn't it? If you don't, you'd probably hurt your eyes. The epicanthal folds on Asians like me protect our eyes. Pretty useful hey? It's not a perfect system, but I can't complain.) This is why we kept the epicanthal fold.
Hence, since it's just a fold of skin, Asian eyes are NOT slanted. It's the same as anyone else's eyes as a baby, before they lose their fold. If you cut that fold of skin, you lose the "Asian" look. But why would anyone would want to do that?

Some Native American/First Nations people have the epicanthal folds that give our eyes an almond appearance too, not just Asian people. That's all that is. It's really just superficial.

Thousands of years ago their women would squint and say "you want me to suck what"? Eventually it was bred into the population. Jewish American princesses will be looking like that soon.
