No, you're right. It's partly his fault though. He doesn't tour enough. He does a ton of charity events (props to him for that), but doesn't really promote himself. Who knows though, he may just be an extremely private person and wants to be out of the limelight. After being with such an amazing band like Floyd, I'm sure that's tiresome. The thing is though-Gilmour has a mellow voice so he's probably kind of introverted and Waters has the heavier voice and I believe he's more outgoing. Makes sense, and also explains why the 2 can't seem to get along for more than 10 minutes.

I do think you're right though. David Gilmour doesn't get the credit he deserves like Roger and Syd get.

David Gilmour also gets recognised as a fantastic musician in this house. Much more than Roger Waters. One of the best shows I ever saw was at the Royal Festival hall from a box with David playing for the Pretty Things and Arthur Brown narating their rock opera. If you want to hear a great album check out About Face, David's first solo outing.

He should tour more often. Like Roger Waters who tours with a great line up.

He is quite a guitar player. He's deceptively simple in his playing. He may not have the bombast as Hendrix but he's just as lyrical and fluid in his playing.
