By all means stop if you feel it's best, but it isn't neccessary. Coffee isn't a serious threat to your baby such as alcohol and tabacco are.
According to statistics, 3 cups of coffee a day while pregnant are OK. I have about 2 a day, but I have a lot of milk in my coffee, which is how I get my calcium, as I don't like milk on it's own.
The doctor told me that it a perfectly good and healthy way to keep my calcium intake up. If you like strong black coffee, I'd suggest just a cup or 2 a day should do no harm!
Good luck and congrats!

I am 29 weeks and I have coffee every day. My doctor said up to 3 cups a day is fine. There have even been new studies out showing that even alot of caffiene does not harm the baby like they originally thought.
I try to keep it at 1 cup in the morning and maybe an iced tea or diet coke later in the day

truthfully it is up to you ! your doctor will say 1 cup maybe every 3 days i think but other say one a day doesn't hurt. I personally am a little over 3mths and i have a small dd every morning i feel comfortable with that. the baby's development has been completely normal. I have majorily cut down i use to drink it all day everyday now 1 maybe 2 a day but usually small i am more concerned with my sugar content then the caffeine you can drink tea if that makes you feel more comfortable has less then 1/2 the caffeine then what is in coffee. some decaf doesnt taste bad either. Use your discretion remember 50 years ago there were non of these rules or suggestions. Good Luck

I drank coffee through out my pregnancy - not alot but I needed to get going in the morning. I have 3 healthy teenagers so if you have a cup in the morning it should be fine but you might wake the baby up a bit and that can give you gas!

They say to limit your intake of caffeine to 2-3 a day. So having a cup of coffee in the morning is fine.

The rule of thumb is no more than 3 cups of coffee a day. 3 cups shouldn't hurt, but it is always best to stop if you can.

The recommended amount of caffeine in pregnancy is around 300 in a cup of coffee you get about 50 so you are fine as long as you dont overindulge.

Some women don't drink coffee during pregnancy, but only if they have some health problems (when they conceived after a long treatement). If you're perfectly healthy, coffee won't do harm. There is one pregnant girl in my office who's drinking one big cup of coffee, with no sugar nor milk. You could have coffee with milk, it will be less strong.

Well you are not suppose to have alot of caffiene when you are pregnant, so maybe just one or 2 cups will be fine, but I usually only drink 1 caffeine drink a day if any.

One cup of caffeine a day is not going to hurt your baby. With both of my pregnancies I drank a cappuchino everyday. My children are healthy and fine. All they say is that caffeine can make your children small and there is a new study that shows in the first 13 weeks you can miscarry, but there is no proof of that.
