Okay, you already know what you want to do, but you want us to validate your decision. Therefore, I will. Leave the one that might stab you. She is going to come after you (you know this), so be prepared. If you are living together, then get out and do not let her get information on where you are going or where you'll be. If possible, completely leave the area (another town?). You do not have to put up with her violence anymore.

Then I would encourage you to make arrangements to care for your children. Get with a lawyer, fight for visitation/custody rights, and/or child support if you choose just visitation. You do want to make sure that your children are well cared for.

well to those of you who have responded. this is the gf in question. He isn't being completely truthful. And I have found out about this "other" thing. And for the record, I didn't exactly go crazy. I asked how could he have done this and why, and he flipped out. He says he's confused. The cops were called but not for me hitting him. He too has bouts of rage. Most moments he's call and friendly, then there are times he acts quite contrary. I do love him. We have had many good times, but he lives life on the negative side.....It is almost impossible to encourage him to be positive. All relationships have their problems, and I have always stuck by him. Him having a gf on the side was almost unbelievable to me as
we spend so much time together. I have suggested seeking some counseling sessions to attempt to improve our relationship. We share some special memories and two great children, and I don't understand how he could just back out on us like this. Oh, and he failed to mention I am pregnant....with his child....before I found out about the other he has been pressing abortion, and says if I have it, then he will not acknowledge it as his kid.

Sounds like this is an abusive (emotionally at least, perhaps physically if you're worried about being stabbed) relationship.
I would get out of it and try to get custody of the kids.

If she is that violent, then you do what any battered person does......move out when she's gone, get a restraining order, and while you're at it get a great attorney who will get your kids for you.

This is a wonderful example of why we don't have children with people we're not married to.

Can you say STALKER! Get a restraining order and file for visitation of your kids. You don't have to see her but you do have to see your kids. The rest is none of her buisness.
