warranty is a big thing what does it cover if you have a problem how many months and miles. Will it cover towing and rental car or can you purchase extended warranty that will? Will it cover oil leaks, is it transferable if you want to sell your car will the warranty go to the new owner . Is it a new engine used or rebuilt. Is it a nationwide warranty if you break down on vacation can any Certified shop repair it or does it have to go back to installing shop. Last thing what is total price out the door. Good luck

yes warranty is an issue...if it is being replaced with a long block there is a manufactures warranty ...some are up to 70,000 miles.... the long block is the way to go when replacing an engine...all that is used from your original is the intake manifold, carb, alternator, power steering pump ... prices are generally within reason...you can price one at a local auto parts store like autozone...typically in the $1200 range for a V6

first thing check the person out to see if hes any good, will he stand behind his work, like a warranty, how much will he charge you,is the engine hes putting in is used of new,and how many miles the engines got on it.stuff like that.just talk to the man,and see where you stand, before you let him work on your car,but like i said before, check him out,ask around,if anyone had any run ins with him before.good luck.
