It's best if you read the book (I doubt if you'll find a quality summary anywhere - the book is considered juvenile literature, an area which major producers of book notes ignore), which can be found and downloaded legally at Project Gutenberg (http://www.gutenberg.org/etext/113). If you have to have a summary, a very long one may be found at Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Secret_Garden). Basically, the novel revolves around Mary, a young English girl who is sent to live with a relation. She befriends two boys (no love interest, though), one of whom is an invalid. Through her friendship with the boys, Mary learns about life and changes utterly in personality.
