These days if you have a big screen tv and a dvd, you get the same picture like that of in a theatre, just sitting at home. I love watching movies at home cause I can lie down and watch and eat anything plus pause the movie if I hv to and also keep an eye on my son. Its fun watching movies at home if you hv the right equipment like I said above - big screen tv and a dvd - its a little theatre in ur own house.

Movie ticket prices are too high for the quality of the films .
The majority of films lately has storylines that have been re-hashed 1000 times either from tv or past films .
Hollywood always think they can BS people into paying money for garbage if they hype it up enough .
A prime example was the Fantastic Four movie it was poorly directed, continuty problems and it took too long to tell the origin .
Yet Hollywood hyped it up with a whole lotta BS .

I go to the movies at least twice a month. My sister and I always go together and share a popcorn and soda, which makes it cheaper, since we split the price. What people don't seem to understand is that you don't HAVE to buy concessions.

The high cost of concessions is one of the main reasons we rarely go to the theater.

What pisses me off is the people that talk during the movie.
I have got in some many cussing fights because teenagers or older people wouldn't shut-up talking. If they want to talk they shouldn't have went to the movies or go outside and talk.

it cost too much to go and listen to people talking on their cell phones, wrestling with candy wrappers and munching on popcorn when you can wait 3 months and buy a DVD for the cost of 2 people to go the the movies and go home and watch it on your HD TV with surround sound and be able to pause it for bathroom breaks.

Because of the costs.. when you are there the first thing you see are the concessions and then you are tempted to buy food.. but I am taking my sister and brother to see "Meet the Robinsons" on March 30 and we aren't getting any concessions this time! yay us!
