NO IT DID NOT. Anyone that tells you it does is just trying to scare you. It felt like a hard pinch for 20 seconds. You can CERTAINLY bare it. Doing my ears hurt way more. And my nose and my lip. They all hurt way more than the belly one!

Yes it hurts. Its just a matter of how much it hurts. Your pain tolerance is what answers this question, not me or anybody else answering. If you have a high pain tolerance, then it won't be too bad. If you have a low pain tolerance, then it will be pretty rough for you. Mine is pretty high and I would have to say that, yeah it hurt but not terribly. The following few months was worse because it hurts to lay on your stomach and it hurts if you hit it and it hurts if you get it caught in your clothes. If you really want it then man up and don't worry about the pain. See if you can have somebody come in with you (some piercers allow it and others don't) so that they can hold your hand or talk to you to distract you.

Yes it hurts but I think it depends on each person..well mine hurt I think maybe because my skin is very tight and he couldn't clamp my belly button-you'll know what I'm talking about when you get it done (this was probably the most painful part of the whole process)..anyway it was the most painful piercing I ever had and you should know I got my nose my tongue and my lip pierced too!But if you really want it don't think about the pain just go for it!

I had mine done and it didn't really hurt that much. Like others have said its like a pinch. Iv'e never had any problems with it and had it done 9 years ago. Chose a cheaper ring/bar and then after the six weeks (?) buy yourself a nicer ring/bar. Just warn you though the whole can close up quickly i've had to repearce mine a couple of times when i took it out.
Good luck

as with any piercing you are bound to feel some discomfort during the process but it is momentary, deciding placement of jewellery and cleaning the area takes a few minutes, once its marked, two deep breaths, in and out and its done. You will have a little discomfort during the healing period but, looked after properly you will experience nothing too unpleasant to cope with, aftercare is the key, but your piercer will tell you all you have to know, for a few seconds of discomfort its worth it.

It doesn't hurt while it's being done since they should give you an adequate anastestic.
But afterwards it really hurts, unless you take strong pain killers, and put antiseptic cream on the area to help numb the pain.
Take anti inflammatorys too to reduce any swelling.

It depends on how much subcutaneous fat you have around your navel. I'm pretty skinny and when I got mine, it was rather painful. I guess it just depends on your pain tolerance. Prices vary depending on what kind of shop you go to, but I'm sure most start out at least 45 and up. Make sure you do your research and know how to properly take care of your peircing and go to a shop that uses sterilized equipment--otherwise itll become a lot more infected, and WAYY more painful. Trust me, I know--that's why I had to have mine removed.

Doesn't hurt when you get it pierced, but its a little sore afterwords. Just make sure to were low rise jeans or clothing that wont rub up against your piercing.

I had mine done and it was fine. The only think i would say is take care of it once it is done. Mine went septic but it is OK now. The procedure itself dose not hurt at all.
