If you ever get a chance,

Find "SoulShine" by The AllMans, Gov't Mule, or Warren Haynes. It's a very soulful song and gives me hope. I love it, it moves and touches me everytime inside. "I think back to what my daddy said, he said boy in this darkness, your born to know, you got to let your Soul Shine!"

Show Me The Way... Styx

Every night I say a prayer in the hope that there's a heaven
And every day I'm more confused as the saints turn into sinners
All the heroes and legends I knew as a child have fallen to idols of clay
And I feel this empty place inside so afraid that I've lost my faith

Show me the way, show me the way
Take me tonight to the river
And wash my illusions away
Show me the way

And as I slowly drift to sleep, for a moment dreams are sacred
I close my eyes and know there's peace in a world so filled with hatred
That I wake up each morning and turn on the news to find we've so far to go
And I keep on hoping for a sign, so afraid that I just won't know

Show me the way, Show me the way
Take me tonight to the mountain
And wash my confusion away

And if I see a light, should I believe
Tell me how will I know

Show me the way, show me the way
Take me tonight to the river
And wash my illusions away
Show me the way, show me the way
Give me the strength and the courage
To believe that I'll get there someday
Show me the way

Every night I say a prayer
In the hope that there's a heaven...

"Come" by CeeCee Winans. Had it played at my adult baptism the words were so lovely. Whenever I'm loney or sad I put this on and crank it up. Try it, you'll love it. Just true inspiration.

Another is a real oldie, was on the flip side of the Righteous Brothers single, Ebb Tide. It was called "He". I've let my family know that when I die, they are to play this song.

I actually have a few favorites...but the three that top the list:
Love Train by the O'Jays
Let It Be by the Beatles
Put A Little Love In Your Heart by Jackie DeShannon

All three have great messages that lift my spirit and connect me to my fellow man!

Livin on a Prayer - Bon Jovi

It's about a couple with little money, livin' on a prayer that they'll make it through the hard times.

The line "You've gotta hold on ready or not. You live for the fight when that's all that you got," is the most inspiring lyric ever written. This is one of those songs that follows you. At the downest points of my life it's this song that can lift me up. We (my wife & I) live by those lines of the song night and day. Always working hard and trying to not let anything get us down in the process. I always listen to this song whenever i feel so down and it always cheers me up and reminds me of what im living for. This is the best song. I love it! It has saved my life many times before! I don't know where id be and where id go if it were'nt for this song!

Someone once said "I wish my best friends parents could have listened to this before they divorced. yeah okay you had to marry at a young age but you have to hold on and in the process you got to trut eachother." after listening to this song.

This song sums up my life and all the obsticles I've been through. The lyrics make you realise that no matter what you go through in your life, you're almost where you want to be. This song is exactly what I want in life, I don't care if I am broke, and everything is going wrong. I just want to be with someone who wants to be with me as much as Tommy and Gina want to be together

here's the complete Lyrics:
Tommy used to work on the docks
Union's been on strike
He's down on his luck
It's tough, so tough

Gina works at a diner all day
Working for her man
She brings home her pay
For love, for love

She says
We've gotta hold on
To what we've got
It doesn't make a difference if we make it or not
We've got each other
And that's a lot
For love, we'll give it a shot

Oh, they're halfway there
Oh, living on a prayer
Take my hand
We'll make it I swear
Oh, living on a prayer

Tommy's got his six-string in hock
Now he's holding in when he used to make it talk
So tough, it's tough
Gina dreams of running away
She cries in the night
Tommy whispers 'baby it's okay, someday...'

We've gotta hold on
To what we've got
It doesn't make a difference if we make it or not
We've got each other
And that's a lot
For love, we'll give it a shot

Oh, they're halfway there
Oh, living on a prayer
Take my hand
We'll make it I swear
Oh, living on a prayer
Living on a prayer

Oh, we've gotta hold on
Ready or not
You live for the fight
When that's all that you've got

Oh, they're halfway there
Oh, living on a prayer
Take my hand
And we'll make it I swear
Oh, living on a prayer
